MTL TP24/7 4-Wire Process Transmitter Surge Protection
The Crouse-Hinds series MTL TP24/7 surge protection device is a unique unit providing surge protection for 12-24V power connection and RS485 or Profibus-DP signal for a 4-wire process transmitter. The level of protection is far in excess of the optional transient protection facilities available from transmitter manufacturers, without any additional wiring, conduit modifications or other expensive extras.
The TP24/7 protection network consists of high-power, solid-state electronics and a gas-filled discharge tube capable of diverting 10kA impulses. The whole unit is encased in a 316 stainless steel housing, threaded for common conduit entries (1/2″ NPT, 20mm ISO, G1/2″). For hazardous area use, approvals for both intrinsically safe and flameproof (explosion-proof) operation are available in all gas groups and apparatus temperature classifications. For Functional Safety applications, TP24/7 devices can be considered wiring components that pass process signals without alteration, per IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards.

TP24/7 보호 네트워크는 고출력 솔리드스테이트 전자소자와 10kA 임펄스를 우회시킬 수 있는 가스방전관으로 구성됩니다. 전체 유닛은 일반 배관 인입구(1/2인치 NPT, 20mm ISO, G1/2인치)에 나사 결합되는 316 스테인리스 스틸 하우징으로 감싸져 있습니다. 위험지역 사용을 위해 모든 가스 그룹 및 기기 온도등급에 대해 본질안전 및 내압방폭(방폭) 동작 인증이 제공됩니다. 기능 안전 애플리케이션의 경우, TP24/7 장치는 IEC 61508 및 IEC 61511 표준에 따라 프로세스 신호를 변경 없이 통과시키는 배선 구성요소로 간주될 수 있습니다.
