MTL 9474-ET/ETG and BxLAN-OEM intrinsically safe ethernet barriers
The Crouse-Hinds series MTL 9474-ET/ETG intrinsically safe interface provides connectivity between non-IS and IS Ethernet networks. The Crouse-Hinds series MTL BxLAN-OEM interface allows Instrumentation/OEMs to develop hazardous area certified Ethernet-enabled products.
Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds series MTL intrinsically safe ethernet interfaces provide connectivity between non-IS and IS ethernet networks in several versions to suit different applications. The two Ethernet LAN ports use RJ45 connectors, while the two IS safety earth conductors terminate into screw-type terminals. The ports are marked HAZ and SAFE — the hazardous area connection plugs into the port marked HAZ, and the safe area device connects to the port marked SAFE. Gigabit versions suit IIB gas groups; 100Mbps versions suit IIC gas groups. All versions suit Group I Mining.
